Message Explanation Action
[Battery Low] Battery power is getting low.
Charge the batteries or replace with new
batteries (
☞ P.12, P.14, P.15).
[File Protected] Attempt to delete a locked file. Unlock the file from the file menu ( ☞ P.42).
[Index Full]
The file is full of index marks (maximum of 32
marks). Erase index marks that are no longer required
(
☞ P.38).
[Folder Full]
The folder is full of files (maximum of 200 files). Erase unnecessary files ( ☞ P.32).
The destination folder already has the maximum
number of files (200).
Erase unnecessary files ( ☞ P.32).
[Erase Error] An error occurred while erasing.
Erase once again.
When an Erase Error occurs format the card .
[Card Error] An incompatible card was inserted. Insert a compatible card ( ☞ P.19).
[Unsupported Card] The card cannot be used with this recorder. Please remove the card.
[Memory Full] The card has no remaining memory.
Erase files that are no longer required or insert
another card.
[Format Error] There was an error while formatting the card. Reformat the card ( ☞ P.50).
[System Error] System error detected in the recorder.
This is a malfunction. Contact the place of
purchase or Olympus Service Center for repair.
[Insert Card] There is no card inserted. Insert a card ( ☞ P.19).
[Can’t make the sys-
tem file. Connect to PC
and delete
unnecessary file]
The management file cannot be created due to
insufficient space on the card. Connect the recorder to a computer and delete
unnecessary files.
