Menu setting method
+ File Menu
Voice Detect
Property
File and folder information can be
confirmed from the menu screen.
When a file is selected:
[ Name ] (File name), [ Date ] (Time stamp),
[ Size ] (File size), [ Bit Rate ] *1 (File format),
[ Artist ] *2 (Artist name) and [ Album ] *2
(Album name) appear on the display.
*1 When a linear PCM format file has been
selected, the [ Bit Rate ] area displays the
sampling frequency and bit rate.
*2 When a file contains no tag information,
[ UNKNOWN_ARTIST ],
[ UNKNOWN_ALBUM ] appear on the
display.
When a folder is selected:
[ Name ] (Folder name), [ Folder ] *1 (Folder
number) and [ File ] *2 (File number) appear
on the display.
*1 When [ Recorder ] is selected, [ Folder ]
does not appear on the display.
*2 Files which cannot be recognized by this
recorder are not included in the number
of files.
• Select a file for which you would like to
verify information in advance before
operating the menu.
For WS-803, WS-802:
This function extracts voice portions from a
recorded voice file.

File Lock
Locking a file keeps important data from
being accidentally erased. Locked files are
not erased when you select to erase all files
from a folder (
☞ P.45).
[ Lock ]:
Locks the file and prevents it from being
erased.
[ Unlock ]:
Unlocks the file and allows it to be erased.
Replace
You can move a file in a folder to change the
order of playback.

Move/Copy
For WS-803, WS-802:
Files saved in the internal memory or the
microSD card can be moved or copied
within the memory.

File Divide
Files with large capacities and long
recording times can be divided so that they
are easier to manage and edit.
