Troubleshooting
External flash does not fire ■ Turn on the flash unit.
■ Insert a charged battery.
Storage location is almost
or entirely full ■ Transfer pictures to the computer ( page 19 ).
■ Delete pictures from the card or insert a new one ( page 17 ).
■ Change image storage location to internal memory (see
table on
page 50 ).
You cannot take a picture ■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Depress shutter button all the way ( page 5 ).
■ Insert a charged battery ( page 2 ).
■ Memory full. Transfer pictures to the computer ( page 19 ),
delete pictures from the camera ( page 17 ) or card, change
image storage location, or insert a new card.
Error message appears on
EVF/LCD screen ■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Follow action recommended on screen, record error number,
if displayed; then turn camera off, then on again.
■ Remove memory card from the camera and/or download
pictures, then format the card and try using the card again
in the camera.
■ Remove the battery and wipe the contacts with a clean, dry
cloth (
page 86 ). Reinstall the battery.
■ If all else fails, get customer support help (see page 76 ).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card. ■ Card may be corrupted. Format card in camera (see page 4 ).
Data will be erased if formatted.
