11509.11 Rear Tube Doors
2. Remove the torx nut from the bottom of each factory hinge pin.
Set these nuts aside to be re-installed on the Tube Doors. To remove the
factory doors, carefully lift the door upward until the hinge pins completely
clear the hinges. It will be helpful to have someone else assist with this step.
1. Locate the rear driver side door strap that limits the door opening.
Notice the door strap enters the plastic cover at the base of the B-pillar.
Remove plastic door from the front of this cover for easier access to the
electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector by releasing the red
locking tab and pulling down on the connector. Next, Release the strap from
the hook inside the vehicle. Repeat for passenger side.
NOTICE ! The door can swing open into the vehicle once the strap is released
potentially causing damage to your vehicle.
3. To install Tube Doors, lightly lubricate the tube door hinge pins.
Position the hinge pins directly above the hinges. Slowly lower the hinge pins
into the door hinges. If the hinge pins do not fully seat, slowly rotate the door
back and forth until hinge pins fully engage. Install torx nuts removed in the
previous step.
