The playback order of the MP3 files
The playback order of the folders and files is as
follows:
Notes
• A folder that does not include an MP3 file is skipped.
• Maximum folder number: 255 (including root folder
and empty folders)
• The maximum number of MP3 files and folders that
can be contained in a disc: 512
When a file/folder name contains many characters,
this number may become less than 512.
• The maximum number of trees which can be played:

Tip
To specify a desired playback order, before the folder
or file name, input the order by number (e.g., “01,”
“02”), then record contents onto a disc. (The order
differs depending on the writing software.)
On “Memory Stick”
What is a “Memory Stick”?
“Memory Stick” is a compact, portable and
versatile Integrated Circuit recording medium
with a data capacity that exceeds a floppy disk.
“Memory Stick” is specially designed for
exchanging and sharing digital data among
“Memory Stick” compatible products. Because it
is removable, the “Memory Stick” can also be
used for external data storage.
Types of “Memory Stick”
There are two types of “Memory Stick.”
“MagicGate Memory Stick (White)”
– is equipped with “MagicGate” copyright
protection technology.
– MS Auto play is possible.
– You can also access the image data.
“Memory Stick (Blue)”
– “Memory Stick” that is not equipped with
“MagicGate” copyright protection
technology.
– MS Auto play is not possible.
– You can access only the image data.
When you purchase a “Memory Stick” note the
following:
– For recording music data for MagicGate
compatible devices, be sure to ask for a
“MagicGate Memory Stick” which is
distinguished by the “MG Memory Stick”
logo (number 1 below).
– For recording other data, ask for a general
“Memory Stick” which is distinguished by
the “Memory Stick” logo (number 2 below).
Note
The Memory capacity of an “MG Memory stick” and a
“Memory Stick” supported by this product is as
follows;
MG Memory stick: maximum 128MB
Memory stick: maximum 128MB
