Before you begin
Be sure to install the OpenMG Jukebox software to your computer before you connect the MD deck and your
computer. Otherwise, the computer may select an inappropriate driver for the Net MD when you connect them,
and the Net MD may not work correctly. The “Add new hardware wizard” may appear when you connect the
Net MD to the computer. If this happens, click “Cancel”.
Installing the software
Close all applications before you start the installation. If you start installation while any other applications are
active, the installation process may encounter some troubles.
Note on the installation
If Windows ® 2000 Professional, Windows ® XP Home Edition, or Windows ® XP Professional is installed on
your computer, be sure to log on with the “Administrator” user name before you installing the software.
Note on making back-up copies of audio files
Be sure to back up the songs registered to OpenMG Jukebox with “OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool” (which is
launched form the “Start” menu) before you perform an operation that may cause the operating system to be
modified, such as system recovery operation. Refer to the online help of OpenMG Jukebox for details on
making back-up copies.
Notes on the system suspend or hibernation function
• Do not activate the system suspend or hibernation function or set these functions to start up automatically
during playback or recording with OpenMG Jukebox or with an external device/media connected to the
computer.
• If your computer changes to system suspend or hibernation mode while you are recording a CD, importing
files, or checking-in/out data, the data may be lost or the status that existed before the system suspend or
hibernation may not be resumed properly.
• If you replace the external media while the system is in suspend or hibernation mode, the data may be lost.
If an older version of OpenMG Jukebox (Ver. 1.X, Ver. 2.0, or Ver. 2.1) is installed
• If OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 1.X, Ver. 2.0, or Ver. 2.1 is installed in your computer, select “OpenMG Jukebox
2.2” for installation, and proceed with the installation procedure in accordance with “Installing the OpenMG
Jukebox software” in the Operating Instructions for OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2 for Sony Net MDs. The older
version of OpenMG Jukebox will be uninstalled automatically.
• Songs registered with an older version of OpenMG Jukebox are automatically upgraded, so you can still enjoy
them with OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2. However, we recommend that you make back-up copies of the older
version songs before you upgrade the OpenMG Jukebox.
• Be sure to check-in all the songs that were checked-out with an older version of OpenMG Jukebox before you
upgrade the software. Otherwise, you may not be able to check-in the songs with the upgraded OpenMG
Jukebox.
Note
Do not overwrite OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2 by installing an older version of OpenMG Jukebox. Doing so may cause
all the songs registered with OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2 to be deleted. If you already started the installation, stop it
immediately.
When installing the device driver on a computer with Windows XP Home Edition/
Professional installed
The warning message “Install software” may appear (during the device driver installation) or “Install hardware”
(when you connect the Net MD to your computer’s USB port for the first time). You can ignore these messages.
Click “Next” to proceed with the installation procedure.

Avant de commencer
Installez bien le logiciel OpenMG Jukebox dans votre ordinateur avant de raccorder la platine MD et votre
ordinateur. Sinon, l’ordinateur pourra sélectionner un pilote incorrect pour le Net MD au raccordement, et le
Net MD pourra ne pas fonctionner correctement. “Assistant Ajout de nouveau matériel” peut s’afficher au
raccordement du Net MD à l’ordinateur. Dans ce cas, cliquez sur “Annuler”.
Installation du logiciel
Fermez toutes les applications avant de commencer l’installation. Si d’autres applications sont actives quand
vous commencez l’installation, vous aurez peut-être des problèmes pour l’installation.
Remarque sur l’installation
Si Windows ® 2000 Professional, Windows ® XP Home Edition ou Windows ® XP Professional est installé sur
votre ordinateur, raccordez-vous sous le nom d’utilisateur “Administrateur” avant d’installer le logiciel.
Remarque sur les copies de sauvegarde des fichiers audio
Sauvegardez bien les morceaux enregistrés dans OpenMG Jukebox avec “OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool” (qui
peut être lancé du menu “Start”) avant d’effectuer une opération qui peut causer la modification du système
d’exploitation, par exemple une opération de rétablissement du système. Consultez l’aide en ligne de OpenMG
Jukebox pour les détails sur la prise de copies de sauvegarde.
Remarques sur les fonctions de suspension et d’hibernation du système
• N’activez pas la fonction de suspension ou d’hibernation du système, ou ne réglez pas ces fonctions pour
commencer automatiquement pendant la lecture ou l’enregistrement avec OpenMG Jukebox, ou avec un autre
dispositif/support extérieur raccordé à l’ordinateur.
• Si votre ordinateur passe au mode suspension ou hibernation de système pendant l’enregistrement d’un CD,
l’importation de fichiers ou l’importation/exportation de données, les données pourront être perdues ou la
reprise de l’état avant la suspension ou l’hibernation du système peut ne pas se faire correctement.
• Si vous remplacez le support extérieur pendant que le système est en mode de suspension ou d’hibernation,
des données peuvent être perdues.
Si une version plus ancienne de OpenMG Jukebox (Ver. 1.X, Ver. 2.0 ou Ver. 2.1) est
installée
• Si OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 1.X, Ver. 2.0 ou Ver. 2.1 est installé dans votre ordinateur, sélectionnez “OpenMG
Jukebox 2.2” pour l’installation, et passez à la procédure d’installation conformément à “Installing the
OpenMG Jukebox software” dans le mode d’emploi de OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2 pour Net MD Sony. La
version plus ancienne de OpenMG Jukebox sera automatiquement désinstallée.
• Les morceaux enregistrés avec une version plus ancienne de OpenMG Jukebox sont automatiquement mis à
niveau, ce qui vous permet de les apprécier avec OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2. Nous vous recommandons
toutefois de faire des copies de sauvegarde des morceaux en versions plus anciennes avant de mettre à niveau
OpenMG Jukebox.
• N’oubliez pas d’importer tous les morceaux qui ont été exportés avec une version plus ancienne de OpenMG
Jukebox avant de mettre à niveau le logiciel. Sinon, vous ne pourrez peut-être pas importer les morceaux avec
OpenMG Jukebox mis à niveau.
Remarque
Ne réécrivez pas OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2 en installant une version plus ancienne de OpenMG Jukebox. Cela
pourrait provoquer l’effacement de tous les morceaux enregistrés avec OpenMG Jukebox Ver. 2.2. Si vous avez déjà
commencé l’installation, arrêtez immédiatement.
A l’installation d’un pilote de dispositif sur un ordinateur équipé de Windows XP Home
Edition/Professional
Le message d’avertissement “Install software” peut apparaître (pendant l’installation du pilote de dispositif) ou
“Install hardware” (quand vous raccordez le Net MD au port USB de votre ordinateur pour la première fois).
Vous pouvez ignorer ces messages. Cliquez sur “Next” pour poursuivre la procédure d’installation.
