SATA bay
You can install 3,5 SATA HDD in Ariva
player.
Installing HDD is necessary to activate:
 NAS function (Samba server)
 BitTorrent client
Helpful Hint:

For ease of use, we recommend you
choose a silent hard drive. The major
manufacturers of hard disk offer models
optimized for use “in the living room.”
They are generally quieter and emit less
heat than their kind “computer.”
CAUTION!
 HDDs upto 2 TB are supported. Larger
HDDs may not work correctly.
NAS function (Samba server)
Ariva player has embeded Samba
server and therefore can work as a NAS
(Network-Attached Storage).
General Operation
You can access Internal HDD from any
computer:

Enter \\Ariva in Run window and press
OK.

You will see HDD1 of your Ariva player as
shown on the below illustration

Optional. Right key Click to HDD1 folder.
Select the “Map Network Drive” menu.
Then you can directly connect to Ariva in
computer.
CAUTION!
 To use this function you need to install
and format internal HDD first.
