Insert the Camera
1. Ready the Camera
Insert the batteries and memory card
Before using the camera, check the battery level
and number of exposures remaining.
Batteries
Make sure that the batteries are undamaged, are
from the same pair, and have the same charge.
Do not use damaged batteries or mix old and new
batteries, batteries of different makes, or batter-
ies with different charges. Failure to observe these
precautions could result in fi re or in damage to
the batteries. For more information, see the cam-
era Guide to Digital Photography.
Remove the camera strap
To ensure that the camera strap does not get
caught in the seal and cause a leak, be sure to
remove the strap before placing the camera in
the case.
Select (Underwater) mode
To optimize camera settings for underwater
photography, rotate the mode dial to SCENE and
select
(Underwater) mode. See the camera
manual for details.
