30. Remove all metal jewelry, such as rings and watches, before installing or removing a line card from a
powered-on chassis.

31. Use dedicated power circuits or power conditioners to supply reliable electrical power to the device.

32. The chassis may be heavy and awkward to lift. Allied Telesis recommends that you get assistance
when mounting the chassis in an equipment rack.

33. Do not look directly at the fiber optic cable ends or inspect the cable ends with an optical lens.

34. This unit might have more than one power cord. To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect all
power cords before servicing the unit.

35. The power input must be provided from SELV source only, per IEC 60950. Do not connect to a
centralized DC battery bank.

36. UL recognized wires of 18 AWG minimum should be provided by the installer.
