XM Display Mode
• The front panel display can indicate up to 10 alphanumeric
characters at once. If the information contains more than 10
characters, the information scrolls from right to left.
• If the information contains a character that cannot be recognized by the
unit, the character will be displayed with an underbar “ * ”.
Notes • To sign up for an account with the XM Satellite Radio service, an XM Satellite
Radio ID number is required. Follow the procedure above to check your ID
number, and then access the website at “http://activate.xmradio.com” or call
“1-800-XM-RADIO(1-800-967-2346)” with a major credit card to sign up.
Note
• Each time the XM DISPLAY button is pressed, the mode changes as follows:
• The display changes as shown below according to the receiving condition.
• The Radio ID is displayed. The ID below is just an example.
Press the XM DISPLAY button.

SIGNAL STRENGTH
CHANNEL CATEGORY
CHANNEL NAME/NUMBER

Checking the XM signal strength
Press the XM DISPLAY button until “Signal”
is displayed.
Checking the Radio ID
Press the , button (or button on the
main unit) to select channel “o”.
Display Condition
GOOD Signal strength is good
MARGINAL Signal strength is marginal
WEAK Signal strength is poor
NO Loss of signal
The XM features described here only operate when the optional XM antenna is connected to the
main unit.
