Playing Optional CD Player or
Changer
When an optional Alpine CD player or CD
changer is connected, you can control it from the
CVA-1003. This section describes operation
assuming that an Alpine CD player is connected.
(When a CD changer is connected, see page 18
to select your desired disc.)
You can directly select the CD Changer mode by
pressing the CHG (changer) button on the CVA-
1003.

Press the SOURCE button until the "CD"
appears in the display.
Insert a CD into the CD player, the player starts
playing.

To pause playback, press the :/J button.
Pressing the :/J button again will resume
playback.

To eject the CD, press the eject button on the
CD player.
Music Sensor (Skip)

Momentarily press the g DN button once
during CD play to return to the beginning of the
current track. If you wish to access the beginning
of a track further back, repeatedly press until you
reach the desired track.
Press the f UP button once to advance to the
beginning of the next track. If you wish to access
the beginning of a track further ahead, press
repeatedly until the desired track is reached.
NOTE
The music sensor feature is functional in the play or
pause mode.
