How long after I apply for the data service until I can use my Scout app?

With data, you should be able to start using the Scout application right after it has been downloaded.

How many devices can I install Scout on with my account?

There is no limit of how many of your devices on which you can install Scout. To access Scout on different devices,
simply install the app and then log in with your scout.me User Name and Password that you are asked to create the first
time you launch Scout. However, you can only use Scout’s premium features (voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation,
automatic reroute when a turn is missed, etc.) on one device at a time.

Does Scout use up my voice plan minutes?

Scout uses data to provide its navigation functions. Using data does not use any of your voice minutes. However, if you
call a business from within the Scout app, you will be incurring voice minutes.

How do I increase or decrease the voice prompt volume?

Speaker volume can be controlled with the volume buttons on the side of the device.

How do I control the backlighting?

The backlight can be controlled from within Scout’s Tools & Extras menu >> Preferences >> Navigation >> Backlight
menu.
