DDR400 (PC3200) support

DDR400 (PC3200), the latest and fastest DDR memory standard, supports
bandwidth of up to 3.2 GB/s to provide enhanced system performance. See 1-13.

Serial ATA technology

The motherboard bundles the new Serial ATA technology through the SATA
interfaces onboard. The SATA specification allows for thinner, more flexible cables
with lower pin count, reduced voltage requirement, up to 150 MB/s data transfer
rate, and software compatibility with the legacy Parallel ATA. See page 1-22.

AGP 8X support

AGP8X (AGP 3.0) is the next generation VGA interface specification that enables
enhanced graphics performance with high bandwidth up to 2.12GB/s.
See page 1-17.

USB 2.0 technology

The motherboard implements the new Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0
specification, extending the connection speed from 12 Mbps on USB 1.1 to a fast
480 Mbps on USB 2.0. See pages 1-7 and 1-26.

10/100 Mbps LAN support

Easy connectivity to your network or broadband connection with the onboard LAN
port. Allows you to play online games without buying expensive additional LAN
cards. See pages 1-5, 1-7.

ASUS Wi-Fi slot

The ASUS Wi-Fi slot is based on the 802.11b/g wireless standard that is
specifically designed for the ASUS WiFi-b™ add-on card to set up an environment
for wireless LAN. The ASUS WiFi-b™ add-on card bundles the exclusive Software
AP (Access Point) to save the extra cost of a stand-alone AP. In addition, the card
comes with user-friendly utilities and applications that allow quick connection to
notebooks, PDAs and other wireless LAN peripherals. The proprietary slot
supports the 802.11g standard for future upgrades. See page 1-18.

6-channel digital audio

The ADI AD1888 AC’97 audio CODEC onboard provides 6-channel audio playback
for 5.1 surround sound using digital audio devices via a Sony/Philips Digital
Interface (S/PDIF) jack located at the rear panel I/O. See pages 1-5, 1-7, 3-3.
