1 Introduction
The RMD tool (HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Diagnostics tool) is a web-based application that
identifies discrepancies in the environment running RME (HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Exchange)
products. The RMD tool scans the servers managed by Recovery Manager (both backup and
production servers), gathers RME environment information, identifies discrepancies, and provides
corrective actions for the proper functioning of the RME products.
RME is designed to integrate with Microsoft VSS to provide a simple, efficient, and highly scalable
solution for backup and recovery of Microsoft Exchange environment. The HP 3PAR Recovery
Manager software enables point-and-click or CLI management of HP 3PAR Virtual Copy Software
and its snapshots.
