To set up email notifications:
1. In the Enterprise view, right-click the name or icon of the system that you want
to monitor and select Actions>Agent Actions>Configure from the dropdown
menu.
The Storage Manager Agent window is displayed.
2. Click the Email notifications tab.
3. In the SMTP server settings dialog box that opens, enter the requested
information about the system that you want to monitor.
4. Click OK.
5. Right-click the blank region under the Recipient name column and select Add
email recipient from the dropdown menu.
6. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter information about the recipient and the
type of event.
7. Click Add.
The monitoring system can now receive event notifications by email.
To set up event log notifications:
1. In the Enterprise view, right-click the name or icon of the system that you want
to monitor and select Actions>Agent Actions>Configure from the dropdown
menu.
The Storage Manager Agent window is displayed.
2. Click the Notifications tab.
3. Right-click the blank region under the Host name column and select Add system
from the dropdown menu.
4. In the resulting dialog box, enter the requested information about the system that
is to receive notifications.
The monitoring system can now receive notifications through the HP Storage
Manager event log.
