Zone A set of hosts and devices attached to the same fabric and designated as
belonging to the same zone. Any device connected to the fabric can be
configured into one or more zones.
Zone alias An alias for a set of port numbers or WWNs. Zone aliases can be used to
simplify the entry of port numbers and WWNs. For example, “host” could
be used as an alias for a WWN of 110:00:00:60:69:00:00:8a.
Zone configuration A set of zones designated as belonging to the same zone configuration. When
a zone configuration is in effect, all valid zones in that configuration are also
in effect.
