Insert the Starter CD into your CD-ROM drive and double-click the
CD icon
on the Mac
desktop.

Double-click the installer icon.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Connect the USB cable to the printer and computer.

Open the Print Center.

Click the
Add Printer
button.

Select
USB
from the menu.

dj9300
from the printer list.

Follow these steps to set the printer as the computer’s default printer:

Open the Print Center.

dj9300

Do one of the following:
• From the
Printers
menu,
select
Make Default
.
• Press
Command + D
.
The printer name becomes bold, or a blue bullet appears next to the printer name to indicate
that it is the default printer.
Using the printer on a network
Your printer can be shared in a network environment by connecting it directly to a network via
an optional HP Jetdirect external print server. For information about setting up HP Jetdirect
print servers, see your HP Jetdirect hardware and software installation guides.

Installing the printer driver through network using the printer setup
program

Connect the network cable between the HP Jetdirect print server and a network port.

Start Windows and make sure no other Windows applications are running.

Insert the Starter CD into the CD-ROM drive. The CD menu runs automatically. If the CD
menu does not run automatically, click
Start
, click
Run
, and in the command line box type
the letter of your computer's CD-ROM drive followed by :\setup (for example, type
D:\setup).
You must install your HP Jetdirect print server first, then connect the printer to the network and
install the printer software.
