HP recommends that you restart the PC before you use the ODBC/MX client interface.

When the installation is complete, delete the temporary installation folder.
Verifying the installation
HP-UX
After a successful installation, the following files are installed:
•
/usr/lib/hpux64/libmxodbc_ia64.sl
•
/usr/lib/hpux64/libmxodbc_ia64_drvr.sl
•
/usr/lib/hpux64/libhpsecClient64.sl
•
/etc/mxodbc/MXODSN
The checksum of the shared libraries must match the checksum in the md5sum file. If the library
is not present in the default location (/usr/lib/hpux64), ensure that the location of the driver
(libmxodbc_ia64.sl, libmxodbc_ia64_drvr.sl, libsecClient64.sl ) is set in the
environment variable SHLIB_PATH.
To set the SHLIB_PATH variable, enter the following command:
export SHLIB_PATH = < directory, where the driver is located >

After a successful installation, the following files are installed:

•
/usr/lib/libmxodbc.so.3
•
/usr/lib/libmxodbc.so.3.2.1
