NOTE:
The default session timeout of 30 minutes is configurable and may be overridden by
typing the new timeout value in the New Value field under “ESO Session Configuration” section
as shown in the SQL Server Login page, see below.
SQL Server Login
Upon starting an Admin Session, all SQL server instances will be shown along with input boxes
for entering login credentials. The type of login (Windows Authentication or SQL Authentication)
can be selected under the Authentication Type column.
Username and Password columns contain the appropriate input boxes to fill in the username and
password to log into each SQL server instance.
If similar login credentials will be used to login to all SQL server instances, fill in the Authentication
Type, Username and Password boxes in the top All SQL Instances row to automatically fill in all
the SQL server instances with the same login credentials.
Finally, click on the Connect button (
) to send the login credentials to all the SQL server
instances for validation. The Login Status and Login Type columns will indicate the validity of the
supplied login credentials and the type of authentication (Windows or SQL Authentication),
respectively.
NOTE:
Connection to the SQL server is not necessary to access and configure parameters that
are not related to the SQL server, such as those for system, storage, and operating system.
