Problems with Discovery
Table 16 describes possible problems with discovery and suggested resolutions.

Problem Resolution
Discovery is turned off. Choose Discover > On.
Discovered devices are not
being displayed.
To correctly discover all SAN devices, specify each
device in the Out-of-Band dialog box, either by the
individual IP address or by subnet.
1. Choose Discover > Setup.
2. Add, change, and remove IP addresses, as
necessary. See “ Configuring IP Addresses and
Community Strings ” on page 70 for
instructions.
3. Select IP addresses from the Available
Addresses table and add them to the Selected
Subnets or Selected Individual Addresses
tables by clicking the buttons. If you add
addresses to the Selected Subnets table,
choose a Method (Broadcast or Sweep).
4. Click OK.
Ensure that you’ve selected to view the fabric that
includes the discovered devices.
Ensure that only one copy of the application is
being used to monitor and manage the same
devices in a subnet.
