Please review these important instructions regarding the bobbin case
The Operation Manual refers to the alternate bobbin case as
the “alternate bobbin case (pink marking)”. However going
forward, the alternate bobbin case will be referred to as
“with no marking”. This machine comes equipped with the
alternate bobbin case (with no marking) for use in the same
manner as the “alternate bobbin case (with pink marking)”.

1 Alternate bobbin case (no marking)
Adjusting the Alternate Bobbin Case
(with no marking)
A bobbin case with a green marking has been installed in
this machine, with an alternate bobbin case (with no mark-
ing) provided as an accessory. When using the embroidery
bobbin thread provided, please be sure to choose the green
marked bobbin case when performing utility stitch sewing
and embroidery functions. When in the embroidery function
mode, the alternate bobbin case (with no marking) should
be selected when substitute embroidery bobbin threads
(other than what is accompanied with your machine) are
being used. The alternate bobbin case (with no marking)
can be easily adjusted when bobbin tension changes are
required to accommodate different bobbin threads.
To adjust the bobbin tension for embroidery function, using
the alternate bobbin case (with no marking), turn the slot-
ted-head (-) screw with a (small) screwdriver.

■ Correct tension
Upper thread slightly appears on the wrong side of
fabric.

■ Bobbin thread is loose
Bobbin thread appears slightly on the right side of
fabric.

If this occurs, turn the slotted-head screw (-) clockwise,
being careful not to over-tighten the screw, approxi-
mately 30-45 degrees to increase bobbin tension.
■ Bobbin thread is tight
Upper thread on the right side of fabric seems to be lift-
ing/looping and bobbin thread is not seen on the wrong
side of fabric.

If this occurs, turn the slotted-head screw (-) counter-
clockwise, being careful not to over-tighten the screw,
approximately 30-45 degrees to decrease bobbin tension.
CAUTION
● When adjusting the alternate bobbin
case, be sure to remove the bobbin from
the alternate bobbin case.
● DO NOT adjust the position of the Phil-
lips (+) screw on the alternate bobbin
case as this may result in damage to the
bobbin case, rendering it unusable.
● If the slotted-head screw (-) is diffi cult
to turn, do not use force. Turning the
screw too much or providing force in
either (rotational) direction may cause
damage to the bobbin case. Should
damage occur, the bobbin case may not
maintain proper tension.

O Manual de Utilização refere-se à caixa de bobina alterna-
tiva como “caixa de bobina alternativa (marca cor-de-rosa)”.
No entanto, mais adiante, a caixa de bobina alternativa será
referida como “sem marca”. Esta máquina vem equipada
com a caixa de bobina alternativa (sem marca) para utili-
zação da mesma forma que a “caixa de bobina alternativa
(com marca cor-de-rosa)”.

1 Caixa de bobina alternativa (sem marca)
Ajuste da caixa de bobina alternativa
(sem marca)
Foi instalada nesta máquina uma caixa de bobina com uma
marca verde, sendo uma caixa de bobina alternativa (sem
marca) fornecida como acessório. Ao utilizar a linha de bo-
bina para bordados fornecida, certifi que-se de que escolhe
a caixa de bobina com a marca verde ao realizar pontos
utilitários e funções de bordado. No modo da função de
bordado, deve seleccionar-se a caixa de bobina alternativa
(sem marca) sempre que se utilizarem linhas de bobina para
bordados de substituição (ou seja, outras que não sejam as
fornecidas com a máquina). A caixa de bobina alternativa
(sem marca) pode ser facilmente ajustada sempre que forem
necessárias alterações à tensão da bobina para permitir a
utilização de diferentes linhas.
Para ajustar a tensão da bobina para a função de bordado,
utilizando a caixa de bobina alternativa (sem marca), rode o
parafuso de fenda (-) com uma chave de fendas (pequena).

■ Tensão correcta
A linha superior aparece ligeiramente no avesso do
tecido.

A linha da bobina aparece ligeiramente no direito do
tecido.

Caso isto aconteça, rode o parafuso de fenda (-) para a
direita, tendo o cuidado de não o apertar demasiado,
cerca de 30-45 graus, para aumentar a tensão da bobina.
■ A linha da bobina está apertada
A linha superior do lado direito do tecido parece estar a
levantar-se/fazer laçadas e a linha da bobina não se vê
do avesso do tecido.

Caso isto aconteça, rode o parafuso de fenda (-) para a
esquerda, tendo o cuidado de não o apertar demasiado,
cerca de 30-45 graus, para diminuir a tensão da bobina.
AVISO
● Ao ajustar a caixa de bobina alternativa,
assegure-se de que retira a bobina da
respectiva caixa.
● NÃO ajuste a posição do parafuso Phil-
lips (+) na caixa de bobina alternativa,
pois tal pode causar danos à caixa da
bobina, inutilizando-a.
● Caso seja difícil rodar o parafuso de fen-
da (-), não o force. Se rodar demasiado
o parafuso ou se o forçar em qualquer
direcção (de rotação), poderá causar
danos à caixa da bobina. Caso ocorram
danos, a caixa da bobina poderá não
conseguir manter a tensão adequada.
