4.2 Cable glands
The three cable entry holes in the MH-300-... housing have a M20x1.5 screw thread. Make sure
that the custom selected cable glands and/or stopping plugs have the same screw thread and
are approved for installation and use in North-America.

For use in gaseous hazardous areas: the chosen cable glands and/or stopping plugs, must have
the appropriate type of protection, namely non-incendive when installed in a Division 2 and
explosion-proof in a Division 1 hazardous location. They MUST be suitable for the conditions of
use and correctly installed.
Default the MH 300 housing is provided with two for Division 1 approved cable glands and one
approved stopping plug. Unused openings must always be sealed with Division 1 certified
stopping plugs.
4.3 Field Wiring
The wiring of instruments has to be in accordance with the requirements as specified in the
relevant national or international standard for electrical installations in hazardous areas. Make
sure to use wires that are rated at least 18°C / 64°F above ambient temperature, for the field
wiring connection of the UFC 400...DIV1 flow converter (compact or remote design).
A sticker with warning messsage is located in the terminal compartment of the MH 300.
