Step 6
Mount center unit on vehicle and secure each side at the lower support bracket using (3) 1/2” X 1-1/4”
capscrews #17 with (3) 1/2” nuts #21 (Figure 5). Attach each side of center unit to upper support
bracket using (1) 3/8-16NC x 1 capscrew #16 with nut #20.
DO NOT TIGHTEN HARDWARE.
For GMC Sierra 1500 HD, place 1/4” spacer #9
between upper support bracket #11 and channel
#2. Secure with (1) 3/8” x 1-1/2” capscrews #22
(instead of 1” capscrews) and 3/8” lock nut #20,
as shown in figure 6.
For GMC Sierra 2500/2500HD/3500HD, place 1”
tubular spacer #10 between upper support
bracket #11 and channel #2. Secure with (1) 3/8”
x 2” capscrews #23 (instead of 1” capscrews)
and 3/8” lock nut #20, as shown in figure 6.
