Before starting installation: Disconnect
positive power lead from winch to battery.
Disengage winch clutch.
Carefully route wireless remote adapter cable
from the remote receptacle on winch through or
around the front grille of vehicle and into motor
cavity. Be sure to avoid sharp edges.
Neatly coil excess remote adapter cable and
secure with cable ties. Stow the coil in a con-
venient location where it will not come in contact with any moving parts or sharp edges.

Installing the Receiver
Alternative receiver mounting/grounding: Position
receiver in a convenient location on metal surface
adjacent to vehicle ground. Vehicle grounds are
located throughout the interior of motor cavity on
sheet metal surfaces. Using the enclosed cable ties,
attach receiver in convenient location. Using ground
wire terminal for a template, mark location for
attaching ground wire. Drill a hole using a 1/8” drill
bit. Attach receiver ground wire using supplied #8
mounting screw. Attach white plug on adapter
cable to white plug on receiver cable.
Note: Discard remaining wiring harness.
A. Near Dedicated Ground Stud
Receiver mounting/grounding: Position receiver in a
convenient location close to a dedicated ground stud
on firewall. Using the receiver as a template, mark the
location of the holes on the mounting surface. Drill
four holes using a 1/8” drill bit. Attach receiver using
(4) #8 mounting screws. Attach receiver ground wire
to dedicated ground stud. Attach white plug on
adapter cable to white plug on receiver cable.
Note: Discard remaining wiring harness.
CAUTION:
1. Do not alter the length of the ground wire as this will affect per-
formance of the remote.
2. Receiver must be mounted on a flat surface in upright position
(wires down).
