11. Insert new brake assembly (item #2) into brake shell inside
of drum, aligning brake disc tabs with slots of brake shell.
You may have to rotate the top cam to allow rotation of the
brake discs for alignment of disc tabs.
12. Re-install input shaft through brake assembly and into gear
housing assembly (see step 1 below). To seat it, take a 3/8”
drive extension and insert into hole in motor coupling (item
#1). Rotate brake assembly clockwise with motor coupling
until the input shaft seats into the input sun gear of the gear
housing assembly (see steps 2 and 3 below).
When the input shaft is seated, remove the 3/8” drive exten-
sion and install the motor coupling onto the brake assembly
(see step 4 below).
