2. Ground the tester by touching your
thumb to the metal button at the end
of the screwdriver’s handle.

DO NOT TOUCH the exposed metal
portion of the screwdriver tip while it is
contact with the live side of an outlet or
a current-carrying conductor.
3. If voltage is detected, the neon bulb
inside the clear portion of the handle
will glow. If you are testing outdoors
or in a brightly lit area, shield the
handle with your hand to provide a
better view of the bulb.
