• The CT103 cannot detect the
presence of voltages below 110V.
Use caution whenever detecting AC
voltages above 42VAC
RMS
or DC
voltages above 60VDC. Both pose a
shock hazard.
• Before using the tester, inspect the
case. Do not use the CT103 if the
case is damaged. Look for cracks
or missing plastic. Pay particular
attention to the insulation around
the connectors.
• Do not operate the tester around
explosive gas, vapor, or dust.
• When using the probes, keep your
fingers behind the finger guards.
Never touch the metal ends of the
probes when making a measurement.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
To detect the presence of AC or DC
voltage and identify its level, insert the
test leads into an electric outlet (see
Fig. 1 on the bottom of the next page)
or carefully touch the leads to two
points of an energized circuit.
