Submersible Pump
Spins
Submersible Pump
NOT Spinning
Hydraulic Motor or
Pump Bearings Seized
Discharge Head Too
High for Pump
Impeller
Jammed
Discharge Hose
Kinked or Plugged
Hydraulic Pressure Low
(below 70 BAR - 1000PSI)
Lack of Water in Pump
Pump Inlet Obstructed
Pump not Properly
Submerged
Air Trapped in Volute
Hydraulic Motor Worn
Excessive Wear
on Impeller
Clear debris from
Inlet or Strainer
Replace Hydraulic Motor
or Pump Bearings
Check Hydraulic Power
Unit with Submersible
Pump disconnected to be
sure it is functioning
properly
Remove Top Cover
and free Impeller
Clear Hose of obstruction
Replace Layflat
Discharge Hose with
Rigid Hose or Pipe
Be sure Pump is
submerged initially to
Oil Filler Plug on
Bearing Housing
Replace Motor
Replace Worn Parts
Check Vent Screw
(on some models) to
be sure it is not plugged
Lower Pump into liquid
while operating
Lay Pump on it’s side with
the discharge in 12 o’clock
position to allow air
to escape
Remove Layflat discharge
hose that may trap air
PUMP NOT PUMPING
