Daily Maintenance
1. Check fuel level and top up as needed.
2. Check Vacuum Pump oil level and top up if
needed.
3. Check Mechanical Seal oil level and top up if
needed.
4. Check Engine oil level and top up if needed.

Weekly Maintenance
1. Remove the drive belt guard and check the
tension of the vacuum pump drive belt thus:
2. Check all fasteners and tighten if needed.
3. Check for damage to the lifter bracket and
replace if damaged.
4. Check battery charge and electrolyte level, top up
and charge if required.
5. Check ball valve and remove any trapped debris.

Safety Instructions
2. Always lift pump sets vertically by the lifting eye.
Do not lift with the forks of a fork truck under the
fuel tank.
3. Never lift with suction or delivery hoses attached.
The increased weight of these items may cause
lifting gear failure.
4. Check the condition and security of the lifter at
regular intervals and do not lift if lifter is damaged
or loose.
5. The lift must always be vertical on the eye
provided.
6. Never allow the unit to be subject to a ‘snatch’
loading.
7. Do not allow the unit to swing whilst being lifted.
8. Ensure that all the flange bolts are used to fit the
quick release hose connections.
9. Collapsible or layflat hoses must NOT be used on
the suction side of the pump.
10. Never insert anything into the pump casing whilst
the pump is running and the suction or delivery
hoses are disconnected.
11. Moving parts are guarded to protect you. Guards
removed for maintenance must be replaced
before starting the pump.
12. Always provide adequate ventilation for diesel
engines. Be aware of fire risks from items such
as exhaust pipes and silencers. Never place
flammable items around the unit.
