Make sure all other Windows applications are closed on your PC.
• Click Next to begin installing the Micro-PWC system.
3.5.1.4 Micro-PWC Setup
• The Install Micro-PWC window appears and asks whether or not to install the Micro-PWC
portion of the Micro-PWC product now. The Setup program just scanned your system for any
existing versions of the Micro-PWC software and informed you of the results of this scan
through the text in this window. The following instructions assume that a previous version was
not found. If a previous version was found, simply follow the instructions in the Setup
program.
• Select Install Micro-PWC now to begin installing the Micro-PWC software on your base PC.
• Click the Next button.
• An informational dialog box appears advising you that the the Micro-PWC software installation
will launch in a separate window.
• Click the Ok button.
3.5.1.5 The SETUP Window
• A setup window appears. Then the Micro-PWC window appears.
• To continue, click the Next button.
• The Operational Mode window appears. Select Micro-PWC or Micro-PWC client mode.
Click the ? button at any time for help.
• Click the Next button.
• In the Node Identification window that appears, enter a number between 1 and 99 in the Enter
node number field. If you have more the one Micro-PWC system on this Ethernet, you must
make sure the number you enter is a unique number.
• In the Enter node group number field, enter a number between 1 and 50.
• Click the Next button.
• The Server Settings window appears. In the Maximum number of clients for this node
field, enter a number between 0 and 10.
• Click the Next button.
• In the Installation Directory window that appears, enter the full path where you want the
Micro-PWC system files to be installed. The default installation drive and directory is
C:\MICROPWC. If you want to change this path, enter both the drive and directory/directories
you want to use as the installation directory for the Micro-PWC system files.
• Click the Next button.
• If the directory you entered does not yet exist, a Question window will appear asking if you
want this directory created. If this window appears, click the Yes button.
3.5.1.6 Copying Micro-PWC Files
• The Micro-PWC Setup program then begins to extract and install the Micro-PWC system files
to the path you specified. In the Extracting/Installing files window, the progress bar moves
from 0% to 100% as the files are installed. Wait until all files are installed (100%) before
proceeding.
