3-1 Pre-Operational Check
Prior to initial start-up and each time the flowmeter is reassembled, the scale
alignment should be checked. If the reference line on the tube is aligned with
the reference line on the scale, the flowmeter is ready for operation. If the
reference lines are not aligned, loosen the screws securing the scale and
move it until the marks are in alignment. Then tighten the screws.
3-2 Operating Instructions
After the flowmeter has been properly installed in the process, it is ready for
operation. When initiating flow, slowly open the valve to avoid a flow surge.
Bypass is a help in bringing the flow on smoothly. Avoid starting a pump to
supply the flowmeter without the use of a valve upstream of the flowmeter.
