Storage
This computer supplies you the following media storage:
• High-capacity Enhanced-IDE hard disk
• High-speed USB or IEEE 1394 optical drive
Hard disk
The high-capacity hard disk is the answer to your storage needs.
Optical drive
The computer comes standard with a USB CD-ROM or an optional IEEE
1394 DVD-ROM.
Playing DVD movies
To play DVD movies on your computer, follow these steps:
1 Connect the external DVD drive, see “Connecting your optical
drive” on page 50.
2 Turn on the optical drive (a) and open the DVD tray by pressing the
eject button (b). Insert a DVD movie disc; then close the DVD tray.
Important! When you launch the DVD player for the first time,
the program asks you to input the region code. DVD discs are
divided into 6 regions. Once your DVD drive is set to a region
code, it will play DVD discs of that region only. You can set the
