The enclosure should be mounted in an area that is
convenient for servicing, calibration or for observation
of the LCD readout.

1. Locate the transmitter within the length of

transducer cable that was supplied with the D7700
system. If this is not possible, do not attempt to
add additional cable to the transducer. Contact
the Dynasonics factory to coordinate an exchange
for the proper cable length. Transducer cables
that are up to 300 feet [90 meters] are available.

2. Mount the D7700 transmitter in a location that is:

♦ Where little vibration exist.

♦ Protected from falling corrosive fluids.

♦ Within ambient temperature limits - 22 to 122°F

[30 to 50°C]

♦ Out of direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may

increase temperatures within the transmitter to
above maximum limit.

3. Mounting: Refer to Figure 3.1 for enclosure and

mounting dimension details. Ensure that enough
room is available to allow for door swing,
maintenance and conduit entrances. Secure the
enclosure to a flat surface with four appropriate
fasteners.

4. Conduit holes. Conduit hubs should be used

where cables enter the enclosure. Holes not used
for cable entry should be sealed with plugs.

NOTE: Use NEMA 4 [ IP65 ] rated fittings plugs to
maintain the water tight integrity of the enclosure.
Generally, the left conduit hole (viewed from front) is
used for line power; the right conduit hole for
transducer connections.
