Cables

As s embly o f the Paper Tray:

1.

Assemble the Paper Tray to the Dash Mounting Plate with

(4) #8-32 x ¼” Button head Screws with 3/32” Allen

wrench ( Fig. 13 ). Paper Tr ay ma y be installed with long

end towards the user or away from the user, depending

on dashboard configuration. The Dashmount with Paper

Tra y and Foam Block (smooth side up) should appear as

in Fig.14 .

2.

Install Dashmount to dash via mounting holes and slots in

the Dash Mounting Plate.

Printer installation ( Dash mo un t Kit) :

1.

Assemble the VMP-1000 printer to the Dashmount using

(4) #10-32 x 5/8” screws ( Fi g. 16 ). Tighten hardware at

the four mou nting slots at the bottom of the printer.

Secure printer to bracket w ith (1) #8-32 x 5/8 ” security

screw.

2.

Route the power and data cables into the trough of the

Printer Mounting Plate as shown in Figs. 16, 17, & 18 .

As s embly o f the Vibrati on Isolation Bracket (Deluxe Kit):

1.

Before mounting the Vibration Isolation Bracket (220146-

000, included in Deluxe Kit), make sure the Rubber Feet

are on the Plate correctl y. The ends of the Plate should fit

into the recess in the Rubber Feet. Put the side with the

rubber bosses closest to the edge facing up ( Fi g. 19 ).

2.

Place Foot Caps on the Plate with the recesses facing up

and out.

3.

Mount the b racket with (4) #10-32 x 1” screws and (4) # ¼

- 20 washers to (Fig. 20 ). Do N ot overtigh ten as it may

damage t he Foot Cap.

4.

Top of screw head must clear the height of the uppermost

surface, for the printer to slide into

place.

Printer installation (Deluxe Kit):

1. Note orientation of printer & locking rivets on bracket ( Fig.

21).

2. Slide printer into position until Locking Snap “clicks” ( Fi g.

22).

3. Secure the printer to bracket with either the supplied #8-

32 security screw (special bit T15 Torx w/ security pin
required) or # 8 Phillip s pan

4. Route the power and data cables as shown in Figs. 16,

17, & 18.
