Installing the RS-422 Chip
 Orient the RS-422 Chip as shown and
insert the chip into the Socket on the
Main Logic Board. Be sure the pins on
the RS-422 Chip are not bent and are
inserted into the holes in the Socket.
 Place the Jumper over Pins E12 and
E13.
 Slide the Main Logic Board into the
printer. Push the board in until it is
fully seated. Reinstall the two
previously removed screws.
Setup and Configuration
Once the RS-422 Option is installed in your printer connection to your host system will require an RS-
422 communications cable. A pin-out for an RS-422 cable is shown below.
