DCX2000 3.0kW, 36VDC Portable Generator Quick Start Guide
The following instructions are intended to supplement the DCX2000 Operator’s Manual (Alpha P/N 041-135-B0). Read
and adhere to all safety instructions listed in the Operator’s Manual and this document. If you have any questions
regarding safe operation of the generator, consult the Operator’s Manual or contact Alpha Technical Support.
• Always check the engine oil level prior to operating the generator. Failure to do so could lead to
irreparable damage to the engine.
• Only use 86 octane fuel or higher with 10% Ethanol or 5% Methanol by volume.
• Only use this generator for DC applications, NOT for residential AC electrical appliances.
1.0 Connecting Generator

Ensure the output breaker is OFF.

Connect the power system to the generator
output cable (refer to section
3.0, Power System
Connections in the Operator's Manual for
connection options) connect the output cable to the
generator DC output connector, ensuring there is
no gap (see Figure 2).

Turn the fuel valve to the ON position. If the fuel
tank was empty it may be necessary to pump the
primer bulb 7 times to get fuel to the carburetor.
• Carbon monoxide can KILL. Never run the the generator in an enclosed location.
• Electrical shock can KILL or severely injure. Do NOT make or break any connections
between the power system and generator while the generator is running. Turn the generator
OFF before disconnecting any cables or equipment.

Push the engine switch on the control panel to the
ON position.
Note: When the power system is connected to the
generator and the circuit breaker is on, the LED
output (green) will be ON.
CAUTION!
Note: Ensure proper ground connection is made at
the generator.
