5.1 Engine will not Start

If the engine still does not
start, take it to an authorized
generator dealer.

Take the generator to

Is there enough oil in the engine?
Replace the
spark plug.
Add the recommended oil.
Turn the engine switch and fuel switch on.
Is there a spark from the spark plug?
Is there fuel in the tank? Refuel the fuel tank.

To check spark:
1) Remove the spark plug cap and
clean any dirt from around the spark
plug.
2) Remove the spark plug and install
the spark plug in the plug cap.
3) Attach the plug side electrode to your
ground wire .
4) Pull the recoil starter, sparks should
jump across the gap.
Are the engine switch and fuel
switch on?
1. Remove the spark plug cap and clean any
dirt from around the spark plug.
2. Use an ignition spark tester to test the
ignition spark.
3. Reinstall spark plug.
