Protocol Structure
All commands sent to the unit must contain a leading character, the actual command, and an ending
character. The MSV0502 can accept multiple commands, storing them in a buffer. It immediately
executes each command in the order it was issued.
The MSV0502 recognizes [ and ] as leading and ending characters, also called Command Codes. The
factory default for the Command Code is [ ]. The Command code can be changed via RS-232. Some
sample command codes follow. For example:
This part of the command string...
Represents:
[
The leading character
ADDRxx
The actual command.
]
The ending character
This command string...
Means:
[ADDRxx]
Assign an address to the unit, 01 to 98, where xx
= 01-98.
