2. System Memory (DIMM)
This motherboard has three sockets to support 3.3Volt (power level) Unbuffered
Synchronous DRAMs (SDRAM) DIMMs of either 8, 16, or 32, 64, 128, or 256MB.
Maximum memory of DIMMs must be 256MB or less.
IMPORTANT: Memory speed setup is required through "Auto Configuration" in
BIOS Chipset Setup of the BIOS SOFTWARE.
Install memory in any combination as follows:
DIMM Type 168-pin DIMM Memory Modules Total Memory
Socket 1 SDRAM/EDO 8MB, 16MB, 32MB x1
SDRAM/EDO 64, 128, 256MB - Slot 3 must be empty
Socket 2 SDRAM/EDO 8MB, 16MB, 32MB x1
SDRAM/EDO 64, 128, 256MB - Slot 3 must be empty
Socket 3 SDRAM/EDO 8MB, 16MB, 32MB - Slot 1 or 2 must x1
not have 64, 128, or 256MB SDRAM
Total System Memory (Max 256MB) =
WARNING: Memory modules must have 18 chips or less. Memory modules with
more that 18 chips will case unstable operation.
NOTE:
•
Maximum memory size is 256MB total for all sockets.
• Socket 3 will not support 64, 128, or 256MB DIMMs with 64Mbit SDRAM cells.
• If Socket 1 and/or Socket 2 has 64, 128, or 256MB DIMM’s with 64Mbit SDRAM
cells, Socket 3 must be empty.
