2. You have been provided with five Velcro attachment cookies. Peel the release
liner off of one side of these cookies and place them on all the high spots on the
factory water tank and press firmly on them to set. Swipe the underside of your
new stainless water tank cover with the adhesive promoter provided. Then pull
the release liner off of the top half of all the cookies. Place your new cover into
position and press firmly over the entire cover to make sure all of the cookies
make contact.
3. You have been provided with a stainless ring which is designed to slip over the
factory water tank cap. Note: On some production models the cap may contain
extruded finger notches that will not allow the new ring to slip over properly or
at all. If you have this particular cap simply sand the notches smooth with a
bench grinder enough to allow the ring to slip over the factory cap. Once this has
been accomplished remove the release liner from the underside of the chrome
cap cover provided and place it over the factory water tank cap and press firmly
to set.
4. Remove protective liner.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. It is a good idea to lightly dust your
cover with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from scratching it.
Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
