four bolt locations. If all is well then secure the panel by installing the four 6/32 truss head screws
provided. (TECH NOTE: Since the four 6/32 screw have such a fine thread to them is can be very easy to
cross thread them. In order to prevent this set each screw by hand and make sure that they screw into
the receiving bolt smoothly with no binding). Remove the protective liner from the cover at the four
bolt locations and install the screws.
7. You have been provided with four 1” chrome decorative screw covers and four 5/8 Velcro donuts. Peel
each of these donuts off their liner and place them around each of the four screws. Then simply place
the four decorative chrome screw covers in place to finish the installation of the radiator support
cover. Remove the rest of the protective liner.
8. The next part of this installation will be for the header plate. You have been provided with two 6MM
clip nuts. Slide these two clips over the two front holes in the upper part of the grill shell. Before you
place the new header panel, take a moment to shape the panel so that the two outer ends of the panel
have a positive bend. By positive bend we mean shape the panel in such a way as to force the two
outer edges down onto the top of the headlight once you install the panel. This will prevent any
rattling or flapping when you are driving. Then simply slide the cover into position making sure the
panel sets directly atop the hood catch mechanism and not in front of it. This ledge is very thin but
adequate enough to support the cover at this central location. Once in place align the four holes. You
have been provided with four stainless steel 6MM x ¾ Allen screws. Peel the protective liner from the
bolt location areas and install these screws making sure not to over tighten them as this will distort the
panel. Just snug will work perfect. Once you have successfully installed the screws and everything looks
good, remove the protective liner and then proceed to install the four decorative chrome screw covers
in the exact same way as you did for the radiator cover to finish the installation.
