Your new doorsills come to you with a protective liner that you will remove after
Installation. This will help produce a nice clean install.

1. Thoroughly clean the surface area first with soap and water then with
household isopropyl alcohol.

2. Then swipe the same area with the adhesive promoter (provided). This
promoter will guarantee a good permanent bond.

3. THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! Gently pre-bend the sills to fit. The
metal is flexible enough to allow you to gently curve it so that the sills fit and
conform to the door area without forcing it to lay flat. You want the doorsills to
look like they are attached (to conform to the shape of the car without any of the
doorsill sticking up from the car) to the car before you actually remove the red
liner.

4. When you are satisfied with the fit, remove the red liner from the attachment
tape and firmly press.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SLOWLY INSERT THE SILLS
INTO PLACE, KEEPING THE LARGE FLAP AWAY FROM THE CAR.

THE ATTACHMENT TAPE IS VERY RELIABLE AND IT MIGHT BE A
GOOD IDEA TO MAKE A COUPLE OF TEST FITS BEFORE PULLING
THE RED LINER!

YOU HAVE ONLY ONE SHOT AT THIS SO GO SLOWLY!

5. Once in place pull the protective liner off the sills.

6. O

PTIONAL STEP: You have been provided with two lengths of 1/8” chrome

molding. This has been supplied should you elect to use the trim to close the
small space between the tongue of the sill and the painted surface of the car. To
apply swipe a thin bead of the remaining adhesive promoter directly to the paint
surrounding the tongue of the stainless sill. Begin by peeling back a small portion
of the red release liner as you place the trim onto the paint directly against the
new stainless sill, work your way along the edge as you pull the liner pressing the
molding firmly to set the trim into position. As you approach the end simply cut
the excess molding with a scissor or snap knife and press the end firmly to set.

Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your sills. It is a good idea to lightly dust
your sills with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching them. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth or bounty paper towel)
with a good quality streak free glass cleaner.
