2. You have been provided with a paper template for the suggested position of
each spear. Cut the template along the lines indicated. Place the template
along the fenders edge so that it lines up with the very bottom of the vent
hole. You will see that the three cutouts created will evenly and correctly
position each of the spears. The spears are marked starting from top to
bottom 1P, 2P and 3P for passenger side and 1D, 2D and 3D for the driver’s
side. Before you begin permanent installation set each spear into place to get
acquainted with its position. Each spear tip is designed to fit into the vent
hole and to just touch the vent grille. NOTE: THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED
TO HAVE FULL CONTACT WITH THE SIDE VENTS as this will create
an unsightly gap between the fender and the spear.
3. Once you have a good idea of the spears position simply peel and stick all
three spears into place. Press firmly to set a nice bond.
DO NOT GET WET FOR 24 HOURS!
4. Remove the template and repeat steps 1-3 for the opposite side.
5. You have been supplied with two lengths of chrome trim (Optional) This
trim has been supplied to be placed at the outer edge of the vent opening to
add a nice finished appearance. Simply clean the vent ridge with household
rubbing alcohol then swipe with the adhesive promoter provided. Once
preparation is complete simply peel the red release liner from the precut trim
and set in place. Pressing firmly to set.
