made if necessary by forcing the shape of the curve against the floor or hard
surface (or the angle of the bend could be adjusted with a pair of pliers). Once you
are satisfied with the fit you can begin permanent installation.
4. Place the grille into the vent hole using your needle nose pliers grip the grille and
work it back into the vent hole and also into the factory brake vent tube. Allow
the vent grille to center over the vent tube mouth as you carefully pull the grille
tab over the vent hole opening. Once you have manipulated both the vent tube and
the grille into position center the grille so there are no gaps. Once you see just
how the grille sits use your needle nose pliers to push the grille back and down to
expose the attachment tape remove the red release liner then pull the grille up and
forward then down to make full contact with the prepared surface. Press the upper
part of the vent hole firmly against the grille tap to achieve a nice permanent
bond.
5. You have been provided with 2 lengths of chrome trim. Use one of them to finish
the vent hole opening by removing a small section of the red release liner as you
place it to the very top center of the hole directly onto the painted surface. Work
your way around the hole as you pull the liner until you reach your start point.
Snip off the excess trim with a pair of scissors leaving a little extra trim so that
you will have to buckle the trim into a nice tight butt seam.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the opposite side.
