2. Apply a small length of masking tape to the cleaned area to see if you have achieved a tack. If so
proceed to apply the adhesive prompter provided to the entire surface. This will insure a long lasting
bond.
3. IMPORTANT! Before you permanently attach any of the four sections you will need to pre shape them
by hand in order to achieve a nice contoured fit. This is extremely important in order to be confident
that your installation will stay put and look good long term. The stainless is 22GA thick and you will be
able to gently twist and roll the flat panels into a perfect contour. If you think about this for a moment ,
metal will not bend itself out of place so if you pre shape the sections perfectly PRIOR to installation you
can expect the parts to stay just the way you have made them and they will not pop up out of place
down the road.
4. Once you have achieved a nice contoured fit simply peel the red release liner from the back of each of
the sections and then carefully set them into position. Press the sections firmly along the entire surface
to set. Before you actually set the sections, place the two top sections onto the plastic wiper cowl. It is
important that you understand that these two top sections have been designed to overlap the two
smaller sections by about an eighth of an inch or more. So in order to achieve this, take a look at the two
top sections to see how and where they place onto the factory cowl. Slide the two sections forward to
create a ¼” overlap of the front area and take note of its position. Use a pencil to mark this position then
remove the two sections.
5. Now that you have set up the tow top section you can go ahead and install the two smaller sections. It
is important that you set these sections so that they are flush with the top edge and not overlapping this
edge as this will cause the two top sections to not seat properly. Peel the red release liner from the back
of the two sections and align them up to the split in the wiper cowl and then press firmly to set. Then set
the larger top section and then finally the smaller top section. Press firmly along the entire surface to set
the stainless. Remove the protective liner.
