Introduction: This all new perforate alternator cover has been designed to enhance the look of the stock alternator. A superbly
vented unit that is easy to install.
Liner Information: Your new accessories will come to you with a protective surface liner. Leave this liner in place until the
installation is complete to prevent finger prints and or possible scratches during installation.
1. Remove the two lower bolts only and set aside. Remove a small section of the protective liner from the whole area and then place
the new cover over the lower bolt locations line up the holes and reinstall the two lower bolts.
2. Force the top edges of the new cover over to remove the two top bolts. Once the two top bolts are removed, line up the holes
and reinstall the two bolts. It is necessary to install the two new cover bolts one at a time because the alternator cover is under
tension from the serpentine belt. If the alternator were to be completely unbolted at once it would tilt over making it nearly
impossible to re install the bolts with the new cover. Although this method does seem a little unorthodox it does work. Once the
new cover has been bolted in successfully, simply install the four decorative chrome caps using clear 100% silicone. Be sure to apply
the right amount of silicone so as to not cause it to ooze out creating a mess. Just a small and accurate amount will work great.
Allow the silicone to set overnight.
