4. At this time replace the U-shaped body spacers (if equipped) back to there
original locations allowing the U-shape to go around the newly drilled holes.
5. Using#2 Phillips head screwdriver or screw gun fasten the urethane bumper back
into position using the six stainless flat head screws (provided). BE CAREFUL
NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN.
6. Now that you have created a nice smooth and flush surface for your new front
nose cap to bond to, you need to prep the surface by removing any dirt. First wash
with soap and water then scrub with household isopropyl alcohol. Next apply the
adhesive promoter (provided) to the entire area.
7. Now you are ready to install your new nose cap. First place nose cap in place to
check fit, once you are satisfied remove the red liner from the attachment tape and
reposition. Press firmly to set.
Installation procedure for the Lighted Version: This part of the installation is relatively
easy but will take a little more time ….
1. The first step will be to create a 12v source for your new cover. This will require you
to choose a good location for a switch. We recommend that this be placed directly
through the black plastic battery shroud. This will make it very easy to use the switch and
tap the batteries positive and negative posts to supply your new cover with a reliable
power source. (The switch, fuse and wire for this are not included.)
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. It is a good idea to lightly dust
your cover with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak
free glass cleaner.
