diligently for the parts to adhere long term. Once you are done swipe the areas once with the
adhesive promoter provided.
2. The next step is to place each of the parts to their correct location to get acquainted with
their shape and position to the painted surface. Set the parts in place and mark their position
with a grease pencil so that when you are ready to apply the part you can position them exactly
where they need to go making sure they are nice and centered and straight up and down.
3. Now that you are ready to install the abs part all you need to do is to warm the painted
surface as well as the part itself with a heat gun or hair drier. Warm the part so that it becomes
soft and flexible. Do not overheat the part as this will tend to warp the abs, simply warm it.
Doing this will allow you to conform the part to the paint and will also provide an excellent
adhesion. Once the part is nicely warmed remove the clear release liner from the back of the
part and then set it in place using the placement marks you applied earlier. Firmly squeegee the
part down to the paint working from the center out to the entire perimeter. Tech Tip: Use the
heat gun during the squeegee process to allow you to force the part to match the contour and
shape of the bumper or gas door. Be especially careful not to trap any air bubbles during the
squeegee process. Remove the protective liner to finish the installation.
