1. Before you begin it will be necessary to slightly adjust the rotation of the
factory mass flow sensor. You will notice the factory wire connector protruding up
and outward towards the
driver’s side of the vehicle. This connector must be
rotated downward slightly. You can do this by loosening the large hose clamp
just enough to allow you to turn the connector down about half way between
where it is now and the power steering reservoir. It may be necessary to remove
the small rubber notch you will see at the hose clamp. You can easily slice it off
using a razor blade or snap knife. Retighten.
2. Remove the power steering cap. Your new cover is designed to slip over the
large cylindrical casting a top the throttle body on the passenger side and rolled
over top of the throttle body and set directly on top of the power steering
reservoir so that the factory cap can be positioned to hold this cover in place. At
this time take a look at the overall fit and make any adjustments by hand to the
shape so that the cover will look nice and straight.
3. Remove protective liner and replace the power steering cap.
4. Thoroughly clean the top of the factory cap with household rubbing alcohol
then swipe the factory cap once with the adhesive promoter provided. You have
been provided with a chrome cap cover remove the Velcro attachment cookie
and install it onto the factory cap and press firmly to set. Then simply place your
new cap cover in position.
Note: Care must be taken when cleaning your cover. It is a good idea to lightly dust
your cover with a clean soft cloth first in order to prevent any particles from
scratching it. Then wipe (using a new clean soft cloth) with a good quality streak
free glass cleaner. PLEASE SEE ENCLOSED CARE SHEET!
