6 Set up with the display and adjustment module

VEGABAR 86 • Profibus PA

45042-EN-131107

The following data or settings for adjustment of the display and ad-

justment module are saved:

All data of the menu "Setup" and "Display"

In the menu "Additional adjustments" the items "Reset, Date/Time"

The user-programmable linearization curve

The copied data are permanently saved in an EEPROM memory in

the display and adjustment module and remain there even in case of

power failure. From there, they can be written into one or more sen-

sors or kept as backup for a possible electronics exchange.
Note:

Before saving the data in the sensor, a safety check is made if the

data match with the sensor. For this purpose the sensor type of the

source data as well as the target sensor are displayed. If the data do

not match, a failure message is outputted or the function is blocked.

The data are only saved after release.

In this menu item you gain access to the protected area where

you can enter special parameters. In exceptional cases, individual

parameters can be modified in order to adapt the sensor to special

requirements.
Change the settings of the special parameters only after having con-

tacted our service staff.

In menu item "Scaling" you define the scaling variable and the scaling

unit for the level value on the display, e.g. volume in l.

In menu item "Scaling (2)" you define the scaling format on the display

and the scaling of the measured level value for 0 % and 100 %.

In this menu item, you read out the instrument name and the instru-

ment serial number:
